About Your Coach

My name is Justin and I've been a runner for many years.  I enjoy recreational running for exercise and enjoyment of the outdoors and occasionally I compete in races.  I live in Virginia with my wife, daughter, and our dog and cat (who also like to run).

I am a Certified Personal Trainer, certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, and a member of the Road Runners Club of America. I am also licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine to practice medicine in Virginia and am currently practicing in a primary/urgent care setting. I have a special interest in sports medicine and the treatment of patients who struggle with obesity and its consequences.

I would like to know what you think about the programs.  If you have
comments, suggestions, or would just like to contact me, my e-mail address is

ABOUT THE PROGRAMS:

One of the hardest parts about training is scheduling the time for it.  The training programs from
Personal Running Trainer.com were developed to provide a convenient way for runners to adhere to
a training program.  Because they are audio programs, you can listen to them whenever and
wherever you'd like and, since most of the programs are only 3-4 days per week, they fit into even the busiest of schedules.  The programs are divided into realistic and attainable goals along the way to a full distance run.  The sense of accomplishment you'll experience along the way will encourage you to keep going.  Most people find themselves "hooked" after just the first workout.  Since the workouts are based on time, rather than distance, you can run at your own level of intensity.  Some workouts focus on speed training, some on distance training, others work on pace.  Every workout starts with a warm-up and ends with a cool-down.  Some of the longer programs also include stretching exercises.
